The CASG will have its monthly meeting on Saturday, April 19th. This month we’re meeting at Gary Wronkiewicz’s home in Palatine, where we will get to see Gary’s amazing S and HO train layouts!

Come see the CASG’s modular layout at the All American Railroad Show in La Grange, Illinois – and check out plenty of other layouts, too! The show runs from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, March 29th, 2025. You can find out more information about the show on their website.

The CASG will have our modular layout at the Mad City Model Railroad Show on February 15th & 16th. Please check their website for all of the details about the show! We will be running S scale, hi-rail, and classic American Flyer tinplate all weekend!
The CASG will be having our annual Unboxing Day a few days later than usual this year. Well, technically we’ll be having it next year. Come one, come all on January 4th, 2025 for Unboxing Day. We’ll be showing off our new toys from under the tree and eating a catered lunch from Portillo’s! Unboxing Day starts at noon and runs until 6 PM.

The CASG had our 20 foot by 40 foot modular layout on display for both days of Trainfest 2024. It was a big hit with the crowd, and the only S Scale layout at the show. We ran a mix of scale, high rail, and tinplate trains on the layout for eight hours a day Saturday & Sunday.

The next operating session for the club’s modular layout will be Saturday, November 9th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Not only may you bring your own trains, but the club’s collection of locomotives and rolling stock will be available to run.
We’ll be ordering pizza and preparing the layout for transit to Trainfest 2024 during the later half of the session.
